Verity 6.4 Now Available!
We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of Verity 6.4, the industry’s leading network hyperautomation solution for Open Networking and SONiC networks.
We’ve been hard at work the past few months adding major new features, customer requested improvements, and platform hardening to extend the capabilities of Verity for Ethernet networking.
New Features
Northbound Interface (REST API 2.0)
Verity now includes OpenAPI 3.0 Standards Compliant REST endpoints to support provisioning of all objects to support multitenancy in overlay networks (VRF, VLAN, VXLAN, EVPN, BGP, physical port provisioning, etc). The API can be operated via any IaC method including Terraform, Ansible, and more. API offers batch provisioning with Verity Changesets. Full API documentation is offered with a Swagger interface.
Network Packet Broker
SONiC can now be used to create Packet Broker networks, useful for packet inspection, analysis engines, application triage, and more. Using SONiC with the wide array of supported hardware platforms offers an incredibly cost effective alternative to expensive solutions. Verity enables point-and-click creation of packet broker networks and forwarding policies.
Terraform Support
A native Terraform provider is available from Hashicorp Terraform Registry and can be added to existing Terraform deployments with a single line of code. Using this provider, Infrastructure-as-Code methods can provision any Verity overlay network resource, including all items required to support multitenancy, workload isolation, EVPN, VLAN/VXLAN, and BGP gateways.
SensAI Tech Preview
An Agentic AI supporting complex network operations via a chatbot interface, SensAI is your expert partner engineer who can answer any question, and perform challenging tasks using natural language. SensAI is multilingual, multivendor and an expert in operating data center network fabrics.
Miscellaneous Updates
- BFD for External Gateways
- BGP over MCLAG w/ Subinterfaces
- Port Mirroring in SONiC
- Tenant Groups
- New Alarm Correlations
- Device Password Obscurity/Hardening
- GUI updates and improvements
Verity 6.4 continues to build momentum by providing support for new SONiC features, integration with 3rd party cloud automation software (IaC, CI/CD), and a simplified cost-effective method for building Packet Broker networks using open networking hardware.
